Apache Made Counting Coup Skull Cracker

The greatest honor a warrior could achieve on the battlefield was to count coup. Shorter weapons such as the skull cracker allowed the warrior to effectively hit his opponent at close range. This skull cracker is made from desert wood that is carved to enable a better grip during battle. The stone is wrapped with red felt and tied with sinew and rope. A wonderful example of weaponry.
