Apache Counting Coup Skull Cracker

The greatest honor a warrior could achieve on the battlefield was to count coup. Shorter weapons such as the skull cracker allowed the warrior to effectively hit his opponent at close range. This skull cracker is made from desert wood, wrapped in deerskin, red felt and rabbit fur and decorated with turkey feather and horsehair. The rock is Yavapai yellow alabaster. Certificate of Authenticity included.
